Development stages

1 Problem Statement
Here the website purpose, supposed content and functionality are defined. The problem statement process takes place in close cooperation with the Client and is aimed at achievement of clear understanding between the Executor and the Client as for what the Client wants and what he will receive as a result. For example, the Client wishes to have an automobile sales center website that sells new cars of KIA make. So the Client’s wish could be expressed as follows: "Develop a website with a bright design effectively representing the KIA family of 2007-2008 with special emphasis on the Sportage model and giving general information about the company and car prices taking into account loan facilities as well as insurance and service information".

2 Requirements Specification
The Executor creates website requirements specification and agrees it with the Client. Requirements specification should contain detailed instructions to be performed by the Executor. As a rule requirements specification contains:

  • Detailed website purpose description
  • Content requirements
  • Website structure
  • Description of every section of the website with a list of included materials
  • List of materials provided by the Client (price lists, pictures etc.)
  • Multilingual website requirement (for example, the website content should be realized in Russian, English and German)
  • Website functionality requirements (feedback module, online order form and so on)
  • Graphical design requirements ("strict" or "bright" design etc.)

3 Contract Conclusion
The contract is concluded on the basis of requirements specification that is when both the Executor and the Client have clear understanding of the scope and type of works and when the website creation cost and its period of execution are defined. Our company uses partial pre-payment system, that is when concluding the contract the Client should pay a part of the total cost of works.

4 Draft Development
The Executor develops the website draft that is discussed with the Client. The draft allows the Client to see the “live” version of the website and specify the desired website design. For example, change the color gamut ("Too bright!" or "Make the headlines blue, but not green"), the layout ("Move this object to the right") as well as other elements defining the website design. The final version agreed with the Client is approved.

5 Layout and Programming
The Executor develops the required website based on technical requirements and on the draft approved by the Client. The Executor fills the website with content and realizes the required functionality.

6 Testing
After the developed website is provided to the Client, the bugs in design, content and functionality are fixed.

7 Website Hosting
The Executor provides hosting for website and establishes it in Internet at the required web-address so website becomes available to the website target audience.
